Minimum Opening Balance Requirements for Secure Checking - $5 in person, $50 online. Must be a member of Nova with a $5 minimum balance in your basic Share Account.

1 ELIGIBILITY: IDProtect service is a personal identity theft protection service available to personal checking account owners, their natural person joint account owners and their eligible family members (as defined below). The service is available to non-publicly traded businesses and their business owner(s) listed on the account and their eligible family members (service not available to employees or authorized signers who are not owners). For revocable grantor trusts, the service is available only when a grantor is serving as a trustee and covers the grantor trustee(s) and their eligible family members. For all other fiduciary accounts, the service covers the beneficiary, who must be the primary member, and the beneficiary's eligible family members (Fiduciary is not covered). Service is not available to a "signer" on the account who is not an account owner. Service is not available to clubs, organizations and/or churches and their members, schools and their employees/students. Eligible Family Members include: Spouse, persons qualifying as domestic partner, and children under 25 years of age and parent(s) who are residents of the same household.

Priority Payday® Checking

Free up your Fridays!

If you are a United States Postal Service Employee and have your paycheck direct deposited to your Nova CU checking account, then you get paid before Postal Payday on Fridays!

If you are a City of Concord employee and have your paycheck direct deposited to your Nova CU checking account, you will be paid before Friday Payday.

Not yet a member?

Open an account online, come by, or contact us to open your share account with a $5 minimum and then your Secure Checking account. There is a monthly fee for Secure Checking, but NOT for the additional benefit of Priority Payday®. You must be an USPS employee with direct deposit or a City of Concord employee with direct deposit to receive this benefit. You may also join via mail. Some restrictions may apply.

USPS Priority Payday® checking is only available to active USPS employees.1 City of Concord Priority Payday® checking is only available to active employees of the City of Concord.1

1Payroll Posting Times will vary and cannot be guaranteed. Priority Payday® is a free benefit to Nova CU members that are employed by designated entities and companies including USPS and City of Concord. There is a monthly fee for Secure Checking which has no bearing on Priority Payday® access. To participate, you must be an active employee, a member in good-standing and have direct deposit set up through your employer to your Nova CU Secure Checking.

Cover Your Account

Even with the many tools available to manage your checking account, sometimes the unexpected happens. At Nova CU, we help you manage those moments and gain peace of mind with our Member Privilege Overdraft Program.

Our program is a service designed to allow you to temporarily cover your transactions, even with non-sufficient funds. Member Privilege is not fee-free, but it can save you the embarrassment, stress and hassle of having your check card declined or having a check returned.

Cover your account! And yet Member Privilege is NOT for everyone!

Member Privilege should NOT be used as SOP (Standard Operating Procedure). Member Privilege is for emergency coverage only. If we feel that you are not managing Member Privilege in your best interests, we will contact you about counseling, budgeting and offer you different options to manage your account. Mismanagement or abuse of Member Privilege will lead to denial of Member Privilege coverage for your account.

VID — Very Important Disclosure
Your Member Privilege ODP limit may be available to approve overdrafts for checks, automatic bill payments, recurring debit card payments and other transactions made using your checking account number. At your request, we may authorize and pay ATM and everyday debit card transactions using your limit. If an overdraft is approved, you may be assessed our Member Privilege Fee (Mbr Priv Fee) of $33 for each item. All negative balances must be brought positive within 30 calendar days. Nova CU reserves the right not to pay if the account is not kept in good standing. Please contact an account manager for more details.
